Early Life and Education
Sianto Sikawa was born in 1990 in Narok County, Kenya. She grew up in Narok, Maasai Mara, and went to Boarding Primary School in Maasai Mara before attending Moi Siongiroi Girls Secondary School in Bomet County. Sikawa later gained admission into Daystar University, in Nairobi, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Electronic Media, and Public Relations degree.
Sikawa later proceeded to the United States International University Africa based in Nairobi and earned a Master of Arts in International Relations.
Career
Sikawa was employed in September 2018 by the government of Narok County as the tourism marketing coordinator.
She is also participating in her community, where she has helped through Naretoi Ang, a non-profit organization, that has helped local women by giving them solar electricity and operates the ‘Solar for Manyatta’ projects in the community.
Recognition
In 2015, at 24 years old, Sikawa was crowned Miss Tourism Narok County and Miss Tourism Kenya. She also modeled at the 2015 New York Fashion Week, where she catwalked, modeling the spring and summer 2015 collections by the Tamil International fashion house.
Sikawa was ranked among the Top 40 Under 40 Women in Kenya in September 2018, by Business Daily Africa.
