Damilola Adegbite is a Nigerian actress, model, fitness trainer, businesswoman, and television personality. She is famously known for her roles as Telema in the soap opera Tinsel and Kemi Williams in the movie Flower Girl. She won Best Actress in a TV Series at the 2011 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Early Life and Education

Damilola Adegbite was born on May 18th, 1985, in Surulere, Lagos State, to a civil servant father and a teacher mother. She was born into a family of four. She had her primary and secondary education in Lagos state, where she attended Queen’s College, Yaba. She then continued on to Bowen University in Osun State, where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

Adegbite held the position of Vice President of the school theatrical society at Queen’s College Yaba from 2001 to 2002. She was also a member of her church drama club since she was a teenager.

Career

Adegbite’s career started soon after she completed her undergraduate final exams. She made the decision to try out after hearing about an audition from her aunt (Ethel Ekpe). She was fortunately chosen for the Telema Duke part in TinselMnet’s first multi-camera production.

She then worked for Sound City Television from 2008 to 2010 as a red carpet host and programme anchor. While she was there, she conducted red carpet interviews with famous people on important occasions. She was also the host of Global Countdown and The Chatroom.

She has also worked with other companies, including Nestle. In 2009, she appeared as the main character in a television commercial for Brilliance Motors.

Personal Life

Adegbite and Chris Attoh, a fellow actor she met on the set of the soap drama Tinsel, became engaged in August 2014. The couple had their son, Brian, in September 2014. On February 14, 2015, Adegbite and Attoh exchanged vows in secret in Accra, Ghana. News of Adegbite’s failed marriage to spouse Chris Attoh surfaced in September 2017. After Adegbite removed Chris Attoh’s last name from her social media sites, separation rumours began to circulate.

Additionally, she erased all of his images from her social media accounts and unfollowed him on Instagram. In an interview a few hours later, Chris Attoh revealed his marriage to Damilola Adegbite was finished.

Controversy

Years ago, there were rumours that the Tinsel actress and musician Banky W were having an affair. When the two were allegedly seen holding hands on the red carpet for the 2011 release of Ice Prince’s album “Everybody Loves Ice Prince (E.L.I),” the rumours gained momentum when Damilola appeared in Banky W’s music video for “Good Good Loving,” rumours that the actress and singer were lovers to circulate.
