Pastor JohnChidi, born John Chidi Nwuzo on February 18, 1975, is a native of Ntu Autonomous Community in Ngor/Okpala Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. He is the son of Mr. Nicholas Nwuzo and Mrs. Angelina Nwuzo, who were instrumental in shaping his moral and spiritual foundation from a young age.
Education and Formative Years
Pastor JohnChidi spent his early years in Rivers State, where his journey in faith and life began. He commenced his education at Umuodagu Primary School in his hometown before advancing to Amala/Ntu Secondary School, located in Ngor/Okpala, Imo State. From his school days, he was known for his quiet devotion, spiritual sensitivity, and a deep love for worship music.
Calling into Music Ministry
His passion for music was discovered early—at just ten years old, he began composing and singing spiritual songs, often moved by divine inspiration during church gatherings. However, it wasn’t until 2020, at the age of 45, that he answered the call into gospel music ministry by releasing his debut album. He credits the Spirit of God as the force behind his music, receiving melodies and lyrics during moments of spiritual encounter.
