Early Life & Education
Bimbo Akintola was born on the 5th of May, 1970, in Edo State to an Oyo State-born father and an Edo State-born mother. She attended Maryland Convent Private School in Lagos, where she had her elementary education. She also had her secondary school education at Command Day Secondary School, in Lagos. Bimbo went further to the University of Ibadan where she earned a degree in theater arts.
Career
Bimbo Akintola started acting at a tender age. She had her professional acting debut when she featured in the 1995 film Owo Blow with Femi Adebayo. In 1997, she acted in Out of Bounds with Richard Mofe Damijo. At the 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards, she was up for Best Actress in a Leading Role. At present, She has acted in over 40 Nollywood movies.
Personal Life
Bimbo Akintola does not have a spouse. Although she got married in 2014, after a year and a month, she left her marriage.
