Madu Chinonye Hector, known on stage as Min. Hector Great, is a Nigerian Gospel artist, worship minister, songwriter, and music composer. Born on June 12, 1993, in Lagos, he hails from Imo State and is the son of the late Engr. Ikechukwu Innocent Madu and Pastor Mrs. Ijeoma Madu. Min. Hector Great is quickly gaining recognition in the Nigerian Gospel music scene with his unique style of worship, marked by his deep love and passion for music, which sets him apart from others.
Educational Background
Min. Hector Great began his education at Logem Central School in Ota, Ogun State, where he completed his primary schooling. He also attended secondary school in Ota. He later obtained an OND in Public Administration from the Polytechnic in Abia State before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Legal Science from a prestigious university in the Republic of Benin. In 2018, he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Benue State.
Musical Career
Min. Hector Great’s journey into music began at the age of 12 when he started singing in the children’s choir at Foursquare Gospel Church. His calling to music became clearer during his time at university when, in 2016, he received a divine call to ministry through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This calling solidified into a career after he completed his youth service in 2019, and since then, he has been dedicated to his ministry as a worshipper.
Driven by a deep hunger and thirst for God’s Word—Christ Jesus—Min. Hector Great sees his music as part of his divine assignment to spread the Gospel and teach all nations about Christ.
