He is a younger brother to the legendary music star, Akon and his father , Mor Thiam is a drummer.

Abou Thiam is a manager and works at Def Jam recordings. He became known as the co-CEO of Konvict Muzik.
Bu first signed T-Pain in 2005 and was the brain behind T-pain’s debut album which became a hit.
